Darin Fredericks age 59 born April 1st.

Darin has led an active life filled with home construction, hunting, rafting, canoeing, and mostly any sport or activity to keep him outdoors.  This lifestyle came to an abrupt halt when he suffered an Ischemic Stroke on January 17, 2024.  Fate was on his side that day as his wife, Joy, happened to be in the room at the onset and was able to get immediate EMS on site.  He was whisked away to the local hospital where he was briefly admitted to get the necessary medical help to stop the stoke.  The administration of clot-busting medications like tPA (tissue plasminogen activator) arrested the effects of the stroke and he was again taken by ambulance to Mercy San Juan Hospital where he had a barrage of tests to determine the location and cause of the arterial blockage (see notes on ‘link’ for more information on testing and diagnosing the cause).
